Local roofers for the whole Wakefield district

We work out of 16 Berners Street, close to Wakefield city centre. From there the M1, the M62 and the A638 put most of the district within a short drive, which matters when a roof is leaking and you want someone to look at it soon.

We carry out the same roofing services everywhere on this list: roof repair, emergency roof repair, roof replacement and new roof installation. There is no extra charge for a quote because you are in a village rather than the city.

What we see on Wakefield roofs

The housing in this district is a mix, and each kind of roof has its own habits. Stone and brick terraces near the city centre often still have their original slate, held by nails that are now well past their best, so slates slip one or two at a time.

Inter-war and post-war semis in places like Lupset, Eastmoor and Outwood are usually roofed in concrete or clay tiles with mortar-bedded ridges. The tiles last, but the mortar does not, and loose ridge tiles are one of the most common repairs we do.

On newer estates the usual call is storm damage: a verge that has lifted or a few interlocking tiles moved by the wind. Whatever the roof, the first step is the same. We look at it properly and tell you what we find.
